Fair Warning … This isn’t a sappy romance. It’s not sweet. It’s far from anything you would want to imagine. This is a story to leave you feeling dirty. Nothing about us is normal. Nothing about us is natural. Can love ultimately be defined in such ways, truly? This is our story. He is a hit man, the very one who took my family the night that changed us both forever. Something in my eyes stopped him from killing me. Something in my eyes called out for him to take me. At ten, he captured me. At fifteen, he consumed me. And at eighteen, he owned me. Outsiders think he’s my father … That is so far from the truth. Our twisted desires fuel the darkness that lies deep inside us both. My innocence never existed, and he takes me as I am.

About the Author
Chelsea Camaron is a USA Today bestselling author who was born and raised in coastal North Carolina. She currently resides in southern Louisiana with her husband and two children, but her heart is forever Carolina day dreaming. Chelsea always wanted to be a writer, but like most of us, let fear of the unknown grab ahold of her dream. Finally, she realized that, if she was going to tell her daughter to go for her dreams, it was time to follow her own advice. When she’s not spending her days writ-ing, you can find her playing with her kids, attending car shows, going on motorcycle rides on the back of her husband’s Harley, snuggling down with her new favorite book, or watching any movie that Vin Diesel might hap-pen to be in.

Sandra's View "Hated the End"
By Sandra
The book had 1865 locations on my kindle. The book was about a young girl, named Fallyn "Aka Angelina" Aka" Angel and a man, named Giano. Fallyn was 10 year old girl, who was being, raised by a sexually abusive father and a neglectful mother. Giano was a sweet, caring and thoughtful contract killer. He decides to keep Fallyn, whom he calls Angel after the death of her parents. The book contained a couple of murders, and 1 decent sex scene near the end. I liked the Angel character. She was curious, confused, grateful, and traumatized, by her past. I loved the Giano character. He was generous, concerned, compassionate and willing to give, Angel, anything to make her happy. He was not nor did he become a child molester. I was totally blind sided by the ending. I was shocked and disappointed by what occurred, during the last few pages,
SPOILER ALERT:
There are 2 alternate endings, but there is NO happy ending, for Giano and Angel. I repeat Angel and Giano DO not end up together, at the end of this book.

Very dark..
By Cindy O
I applaud authors who want to step out of their normal writing box and write something that's shocking, dark and very taboo. But there is also a risk of either the subject matter or story being a little out of the comfort zone of the reader.
The author wastes no time in introducing the shocking and taboo parts of the book in the first chapter. If you can stomach the first chapter the rest until the end isn't so bad. One thing I am not a fan of putting a character through hell giving them a tiny glimpse of normal and then yanking it from them again at the end for reasons that really dont make sense.
Something I had not seen before was the author gave us two epilogues so you can decide how you wanted it to end. I got how the heroine could go either way but after reading the book I was left very unsatisfied with all the outcomes. For me where it went wrong was the last chapter before the epilogues.

Reviews from the Heart Review
By The Ordinary Housewife
I find it necessary to start off with the
warning that this book is not for the faint of heart or for anyone who is easily offended. That having
been said, this is an extremely well written look into the dark side of human nature and the price
required to indulge in that dark side. This story is about a young girl named Fallyn who is being sexually
abused by her father and her escape from that painful life at the hands of a dark stranger. Fallyn was
given the choice to assume the identity of the dark stranger’s recently deceased daughter Angelina in
order to have an entirely new life and she does just this. It was extremely difficult for me to read Fallyn’s
story, especially the parts where her father touches her. It was also not easy to read about these difficult
and almost surreal decisions that she was continuously forced to make in order to survive and it truly
broke my heart to read about all of these terrible things happening to her. In my opinion, no child
should ever be placed in horrible situations like this, especially by the very people who are supposed to
be protecting them and keeping them safe. In reality however, this is not always the case and horrible
things like this happen each and every day. Setting my own personal hesitations in reading this type of
material aside, the author handles writing about this subject matter with incredible skill and finesse. I
freely admit that there were several points throughout this story where I had to stop and take a break
because the material became almost too overwhelming and dark in nature and I did not want to
continue at the time. I am extremely happy that I pushed past my own reservations and forced myself to
read this story to its completion since the story as a whole is a beautiful message of self-love and hope
even in the darkest of times. This story cannot be taken at face value as simply a dark romance, or the
most intensely beautiful and moving points will be easily overlooked. Fallyn’s journey is not full of
happiness and great times, but instead is a story of a girl who is handed a horrible life and does
whatever she can to make the best of it and create something for herself. I feel compelled to give the
warning that this book does not have a happy ending in the standard sense. However, if we look at
where she started off we can truly allow ourselves to appreciate that this is the ending that she needed
to have. The author includes an apology for the reader in order to address this lack of a typical happy
ending and she states that in order to truly find happiness, we must first find happiness within
ourselves. This could not be more true and I take that message away with me from reading this book
and will hold it closely to my heart. I highly recommend reading this book to anyone who is willing to
look past the darkness into the light that lives within and for those who are willing to forgo the typical
happy ending in exchange for a deeper and more meaningful reading experience. I am truly thankful to
have read this book as this is one of those books that carves a place inside of you and stays with you
forever.
